Accounting Representative

Job Description

  • This position is responsible for providing bookkeeping, accounting, payroll, consulting, and training services to clients. Try to cultivate new business through networking.
  • Collect monthly bank statements from clients and perform data entry into each client’s account within the accounting system using the correct codes for each transaction.
  • Connect the clients’ banking accounts to external sources like PayPal, Venmo, Square, etc, and record transactions to the appropriate accounting code for coding purposes.
  • Attend Finance Committee Meetings and Board Meetings as necessary via zoom or Microsoft Teams.
  • Create and email a Profit & Loss statement, Balance Sheet, and other monthly reports when necessary, based on the client’s requirements.
  • This role might also be interacting with clients who are in the process of setting up their non-profit organization in the state of NC. Therefore, you will be gathering information from the clients with the utmost confidentiality and accuracy.

Specific Requirements

  • Have a working knowledge of basic accounting and bookkeeping skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and meet deadlines.
  • Basic technical skills, i.e understanding how to navigate accounting and payroll software.
  • Knowledge of Xero Online Accounting Software, Quickbooks Online Accounting Software, and other Accounting systems is preferred but not required.
  • Volunteer for 1-2 hours per week.

Educational Requirements

  • Must be working on a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. A CPA is not required.

Grant Writer/Fundraiser/Sponsorship Representative

Job Description

Grant Writers participate in the planning, budgeting, development of grants, and fundraising. They are responsible for all phases of grant development, evaluation, and compliance including research, pre-award grant writing, grant applications, post-award support, managing the grant process, successfully closing out grant projects and outcomes to stakeholders, actively researching and pursuing prospective public and private funding sources, and coordinating with fund personnel and other stakeholders as necessary.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Review, collect, and assess the feasibility of project and program proposals
  • Investigate sources of funds
  • Develop and maintain an internal grant application process
  • Develop and maintain a grant management system
  • Develop and maintain information on funding sources
  • Collaborate with fund personnel to gather input for all projects and comply with requests for data and other information
  • Coordinate, develop, and process grant applications
  • Manages multiple projects and priorities
  • Cultivate a network of dedicated donors and volunteers
  • Plan fundraising initiatives
  • Create a Sponsorship Program to show what Pro Financial Fitness will do in return for the funding
  • Volunteer for 1-2 hours per week

Management Representative

Job Description

Management representatives are responsible for overseeing the functions of an office to ensure that everything runs smoothly. Their responsibilities often involve delegating tasks to various members of staff. Management representatives must assign tasks to everyone equally to avoid overloading some workers. Their supervisory obligations ensure that every employee understands his/her duties. Additionally, they evaluate employees’ performance periodically.

Management duties and responsibilities include:

  • Train new staff/volunteers at Pro Financial Fitness
  • Serve as Management Liaison
  • Work with the Founder/CEO to organize the Business to Create “Pro Financial Fitness in a Box” that can be provided to business schools at other NC colleges/universities and maybe to non-NC colleges/universities in the future
  • Oversee Internal Audits
  • Create a home office in Central North Carolina, either on a college/high school campus or somewhere nearby in the city/town where the college/high school campus is located

Responsibilities

  • Identify the need for more employees/volunteers and participate in the recruitment of new staff members/volunteers. After recruitment, you will train the new staff/volunteer concerning the organization’s policies, equipment, and procedures. Provide orientation and training sessions for new employees/volunteers. Help them adapt quickly to their new work/volunteer environment.
  • Familiarize oneself with a certification in ISO 9001 and other standards procedures and be responsible for training employees regarding these procedures. (ISO 9001 is a quality-management system that outlines processes and policies that businesses undertake to meet the needs of their customers and stakeholders)
  • Be a liaison between your staff/volunteers and the top management by scheduling meetings with the upper management to review subjects such as the performance of various members/volunteers of the company or its financial health.
  • Plan, arrange, and undertake internal audits and ensure that the audit exercise happens in line with management review and internal audits.
  • Work with the Founder/CEO to organize the Business AND Create “Pro Financial Fitness in a Box” that can be provided to business schools at other NC colleges/universities and maybe to non-NC colleges/universities in the future.

Research Representative

Job Description

Research Representatives are responsible for researching various things around the State of North Carolina that Pro Financial Fitness is interested in. Research Reps serve as the point of contact between Pro Financial Fitness and every entity in the State of NC.

Research Representative duties and responsibilities include:

  • Talking to and finding other 2 and 4-year universities and junior/community colleges to be future hosts (in expanding the business)
  • Seeing if the company’s services are what North Carolina nonprofits want/need
  • Finding where all of the business network marketing meetings occur around the State of NC and attending them
  • Finding college (or high school students) students who are interested in starting businesses that would partner with Pro Financial Fitness
  • Talking to and finding other students who are interested in volunteering with Pro Financial Fitness

Responsibilities

  • Present the Pro Financial Fitness business prospective to college/university partners
  • Find someone to create an online/E-signature pdf document that includes the wording in my paper contract
  • Use survey (that exists in SurveyMonkey) and use Questions to Ask NC Non-Profits to gather information from NC Non-Profits
  • Look into and create a list of information about other states offering the same services to other non-profit organizations in those states.
  • Look into providing services to for-profit businesses in NC and maybe other states.
  • Attend business networking meetings on behalf of Pro Financial Fitness
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
  • Work with Sales Representative so that they can reach out to customer leads through cold calling or via business networking
  • Continuously improve through feedback
  • Volunteer for 1-2 hours per week

  • Proven work experience as a Sales Representative or someone that wants to how to be a salesperson
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office

  • Expediting the resolution of customer problems and complaints
  • Achieving sales targets and outcomes within schedule
  • Coordinating sales efforts with team members
  • Analyzing market potential, track sales, and status reports
  • Giving the management reports on customer needs, problems, and interests
  • Keeping abreast of best practices and promotional trends

  • Working 10 hours per week for 42 weeks in 2024
